Review : My Best Computer Purchase Ever!
I began programming computers in 1969 and this machine is the best experience I've had in more than 40 years. I added 2 gigs of RAM (4 total) because unlike many machines today this one has an open DIMM slot. It has USB ports everywhere, is nicely put together in a decent case and for so little money it's unbelievable. The keyboard and mouse are nothing to write home about (no surprise) but serviceable. What was a surprise is that it has a PS/2 motherboard - I thought that was a thing of the past but with so many USB ports it doesn't matter. More than fast enough for a non-gamer it comes with Windows 7 which, finally, is a MS operating system that's easy to use. The machine recognized the DHCP network on start up, found the printers (wireless) and configured them without any input from me. No registration run-around from MS which is a major improvement in itself and the interface is pretty much XP-familiar.
I don't know how well it will last but right now I couldn't...
