Review : Nightmare w/ Sony TechSupport Philippines
Purchased the super high end computer last Oct 2010. Top of the line per Sony. Had nothing but problems with it.
Main thing was that the screen stayed off after Sleep or Hibernate and we had to re-boot each time to get to work.
The Viao Customer Care software is just about worthless and in fact seems to interfere with it's operation.
After 14 calls to Philippines Support Services, numerous remote-in sessions and two total reloads of the operating system, they finally sent someone out to the house. It seems they were trying to use up as much of my 1 year warranty as possible. My wife made sure to indicate to the visiting Tech Rep that I needed to be present, so Saturday was perfect. Nope... they showed up on Friday! Because I wanted to be present, the plan was to reschedule. When I called again to reschedule they wanted to go all of the way back through the whole history again. When I ask them if she had read the history she said no. I said I'll wait please read it...
