Cardboard is renewable, easy to recycle and simple to process during manufacturing. When configured properly it is strong, light, pours, heat & moisture resistant, easily printed on, cut, glued, and repaired. A computer only lasts 3 to 5 useful years; by using a cardboard case, there is ample protection for the electronics during their short life on your desk. At the end of life it can be easily dismantled (the major kink in E-waste processing) for proper recycling.

Cases are made using moisture resistant food grade cardboard with 50% recycled content, non-toxic white glue and UL tested non-toxic flame retardant (used by NASA). The case takes advantage of the cardboard's fluting (waves), and uses the entire body for ventilation keeping the internal components cool.
Recompute comes dual booted with Windows 7 home 64bit and Linux Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. 8 USB ports are for your peripherals, and a Nvidia GeForce 8200 GPU (dual display supported) has DVI and VGA outputs for visuals. I purchased one of these a few months back before they appeared on Amazon from his personal site and I must say I am impressed with the design and how easy it is to customize it once you have one. I use mine to edit Audio and Video for my podcasts and it does a tremendous job. The ventilation of the cardboard really helps keep it cool, no worries about it over heating. I have not had any issues with it. This is a real cool design that really helps with the E-Trash situation. If at any time I need to replace it, everything is recyclable and only takes about 2 minutes to separate everything.
