Review : Great idea, not so great realization.
Acer positions this computer as home multimedia center. That is exactly what I needed for my kitchen. During Christmas sale $500 price was hard to miss, so I went for it. Now after a month of usage, I can share a few words about this computer.
First, about hardware configuration. If you are looking for a serious home computer and have a need for power, this system is not for you. AZ3771 is equipped with low end Pentium G620 processor, so don't expect high performance from this system. It also doesn't have dedicated video card, so it can't provide you with superb quality video either. Based on the hardware configuration it can be classified as basic budget type home computer.
The sad thing is that for multimedia center this computer lacks major multimedia components. Acer claims it to have HD display, and it even shows true-HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. But color reproduction and overall video quality is below any reasonable expectations. The same statement applies to...
