Review : good for kids learning, internet/email use, basic computing
I specifically bought this computer for my kids to learn about computers and play online games. It was two twenty plus tax on special at fry's. I doubt I would have liked to pay more that three hundred for this.
For the purpose intended it is fine, plus I can check my email, search the web and write this review on Amazon :-)
I can actually watch TV through its media center (off my HDHomerun) without dropout at HD video so better than I thought it would be actually.
I would not try to run more than 2 applications and I doubt it would be useful for high end games and video editing etc but it's better than I thought.
Additionally I really like windows 7 x64 that it runs.
I doubt that I could make a computer for the components used in its manufacture. Plus the CPU is on an upgradable socket that later I could switch out for a core 2 Athlon - seen on sale for $30 at fry's (this runs a single core 170u).
So overall for the price I paid and use intended 4.5 out...
