Review : Love it and hate it
This is one great PC, but I doubt many people can get it to function to its max. I bought it to replace my main PC which had developed some problems I didn't have time, as I was selling my house, to diagnose and fix. Well, it would have taken me a lot less time to do that than to get this new one working to my satisfaction. They provided a W7 platform with hardware RAID, which, in combination, was intolerably slow. They also provided a graphics card which was touted to support 3 displays, but getting them to work took me 2 months; as did figuring out the hard drive problems. Acer, in combination with Microsoft's arbitrary and undocumented changes to their OS, has made this a really unsatisfactory experience. That said, I now have everything working to my satisfaction, but I was doing just fine with my old XP PC. I have mostly skipped every other Windows OS; in this case I should have skipped both Vista and W7; and maybe all the rest going forward.
